Interior Design Trends for Fall 2021: Earthy, Textured, and Cozy
The calendar says September, the air is getting a little cooler, and Pumpkin Spice is back on the menu at Starbucks. That can only mean one thing people... It's fall, you guys!
Well technically, the first day of fall is September 22nd, but I'm celebrating a little early this year! And it's going to be a cozy fall according to the latest trends. The three words to remember for your fall decorating are earthy, textured, and cozy. With everything that has happened for the past year and a half, I think most people just want to unwind, snuggle up, and enjoy the changing of the seasons. To help with your fall design inspiration, here are some of my favorite earthy, textured, and cozy throw pillows.
Earthy
When we think of fall, we often think of trees and color-changing leaves. Maybe that's why it feels so natural to include earthy tones into our fall designs. Bring a little bit of the outdoors inside with these pillows.

Textured
The word "textured" can have different definitions, but when I say "textured" for 2021 fall trends, I mean natural textures like mud cloth and variegated bouclé. These textures add dimension to a design and help bring it to life.

Cozy
Cozy (adjective): giving a feeling of comfort, warmth, and relaxation. How about snuggling up with a soft sherpa or faux fur pillow? Sounds pretty cozy doesn't it? These pillows add warmth and comfort to a room without the need for color.
